Jonathan DaughertyJonathan spent 13 years of his life enslaved to sexual addiction. Pornography led to a secret double-life of hidden, destructive behaviors. Internet pornography eventually led to multiple instances of marital unfaithfulness. Suicide was a very real possibility in Jonathan’s mind.
Jonathan eventually found healing and hope in a revived relationship with God. The consequences of his actions were still painful, but through his recovery (which began in 1999) he gained a new vision for life that included hope, peace, and joy. Jonathan is now the director of Be Broken Ministries, a national non-profit outreach he founded to provide resources and support to the sexually broken. He is also founder of the Gateway to Freedom workshops by Be Broken. Jonathan lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Elaine and three beautiful children. Lee PrestonLee is sure that God has, at times, considered him the hard-head of the hard-heads… he fought to have his own way so much throughout life. He is so thankful that God did not turn him over to his own depravity during many times of rebellion.
Homosexual porn addiction and same-sex attraction plagued his life for many years, trying to stop on his own and failing miserably many times. Lee accepted Jesus Christ, his Savior and Redeemer, at the age of 8 years old, but continued to struggle with his identity in Him. He acknowledges that God never let him go and heard his desperate cries for help. Lee and his wife Shea now head up Shadow of His Wings Ministry, which provides counseling and groups for men and women dealing with sexual abuse issues, same-sex attraction, and sex addiction/desire for purity. Lee has a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and over 15 years of experience in the counseling field; he believes that it is only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit that true healing can take place. Lee lives in San Antonio with his wife Shea. They have three children. |
