Do you have stock securities you would like to donate? There are many tax benefits to gifting securities to a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry (such as ours). Publicly traded securities (stocks, bonds, etc.) may be transferred to Be Broken Ministries, entitling you to an income tax deduction for the full market value of the securities. Additionally, through a gift of securities to Be Broken you will avoid any capital gains taxes. Gifts of appreciated securities that pay little or no dividends make especially good choices for donations.
How to transfer stock or mutual fund securities to Be Broken:
- Decide which stocks or mutual funds you wish to transfer
- Contact your brokerage account agent or bank (wherever your securities are held)
- Give your agent or bank our account information (see below)
- Your agent or bank will transfer the securites to our ministry (usually within 3 days of the request)
